I have worked incredibly hard to secure a place at the National Film and Television School starting in January 2026. This will be an incredible opportunity for me to study composition for film, television, and games at a professional level and collaborate with talented filmmakers, animators, and game designers.

ABOUT ALYS
Alys is a freelance composer for films, games, documentaries and other media.
She studied music production at Access Creative College in Birmingham where she discovered her love for creating soundtracks for visual media.
After achieving a distinction* at college, Alys went on to study Film Music at Leeds Conservatoire and achieved a First class degree after three years of hard work and dedication.
She has worked on a number of films, games and animations, and is now looking to broaden her horizons with new projects and experiences.
The Distance is a student film by Dan Gordon about a man who returns to boxing, despite his long illness, to clear his father's name.

I composed the music for this film in May 2023, taking inspiration from Blade Runner 2049 and opting for a synth-based approach.
