This is my take on the music for this animated short film. Thank you to thecuetube.com for providing this unscored animation for composers :) My idea here was that the main character is too preoccupied with time and is neglecting to just stop and enjoy life, so the music is very 'weighted down' and 'heavy' sounding and resembles the ticking of a clock. When the main character finally breaks his cycle and learns to stop caring so much about time, the music becomes 'light' and 'weightless' and is not regulated by a time signature. I had a lot of fun making this score so hopefully people like it! This is my entry for the 2023 Indie Film Music scoring competition, it is a rescore of the short animation 'Outdrawn' by Eric Ciuzio. I had a lot of fun creating this music and experimenting with a style I've not really worked in before :)
